Patient Care LGBTQ Training

UCSF Health is recognized as a national leader in LGBTQ+ care through the Human Rights Campaign’s Healthcare Equality Index (HEI). One way we measure demonstrated commitment to inclusive care is through required hours of training.


Accredited CME Healthcare Equality Index Training Partners

Continuing Medical Education (CME) accredited online, on-demand eCourses and recorded webinars about sexual orientation and gender identity, including intersex and transgender-inclusive healthcare, cover both basic and specialized topics such as behavioral health, PrEP/HIV/STIs, reproductive health and trans youth.

Center for Sexual & Gender Minority Health (SGM) - LGBTQ+ Health Certificate Program

Teaches the foundations of SGM health, Grand Rounds training sessions, and culminating project to support your work as a leader in LGBTQ+ health.


Transgender Care

Provides online training coursesvideo on collection and use of chosen names and pronouns in clinic settings, education and capacity building, and hosts a biennial National Transgender Health Summit.
